Bugat Botnet Admin. Arrested and Malware Disabled (Dept. of Justice): A 30-year old Moldovan citizen who was recently arrested in Cyprus has been charged in the Western District of Pennsylvania, according to the Justice Dept. (DOJ). The DOJ news release states that Andrey Ghinkul, aka Andrei Ghincul aka Smilex, is charged with using and disseminating malware whose purpose was to steal banking credentials. The stolen credentials were then subsequently used to initiate fraudulent transactions, according to the DOJ news release. The DOJ release is here; while the full indictment can be found here.
