Interesting thought via CNNMoney’s Philip Elmer-DeWitt: is China going after Apple? Elmer-Dewitt looked at all the recent cyberexploitation news over the past few months and noted three things:
- The Mandiant report suggested Apple was targeted by Chinese hackers (although it doesn’t explicitly say it)
- The Chinese apparently began a campaign against Apple on Chinese TV after the Mandiant report was released.
- Targeting Apple may be part of China’s “blunt, corrupt mercantilism.”
