Nicole Perlroth & Quentin Hardy for The New York Times on Iran’s continuing involvement with those DDOS on American banks. The article quotes James A. Lewis, CSIS: “There is no doubt within the U.S. government that Iran is behind these attacks. . . .”
It’s important to note that these DDOS attacks are much stronger than the attacks we saw in September/October of 2012. The NYT article notes that the Iranians are hijacking data centers, making their DDOS attacks much more powerful and, in the authors’ simply wonderful words, “transforming the online equivalent of a few yapping Chihuahuas into a pack of fire-breathing Godzillas.”
