According to Shaun Waterman of the Washington Times, the Pentagon is still working on the cyber rules of engagement. A DOD source said that they should be completed in a couple of months.

Holman W. Jenkins Jr. wrote an amusing piece for the Wall Street Journal on the possible death of hacktivism. In the context of Sabu's recent betrayel of LulzSec, Jenkins writes that "amateur hour may be winding down" because those that call attention to themselves (like Anonymous) "leave a trail of evidence pointing to their true identities."

Bob Brewin reported for Nextgov that the Emerging Threats and Capabilities panel of the House Armed Services Committee told top DOD officials that the DOD, not the DHS, "should take the lead role in defending networks operated by utilities, banks, and other private sector companies . . .."

Jason Koebler wrote for USNews on cyberattacks against the US' stockpile of nuclear weapons. According to the article, the National Nuclear Security Administration faces up to 10 million significant cyber attacks per day. Of that number, 1,000 are apparently successful.
In what sense were they successful?!
